Who We Are

The Saudi Aviation Club (SAC) is the first official aviation club in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. SAC provides services and supports various aviation activities, such as general aviation, sports aviation, paragliding, and model aircraft. It is also the official representative of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the membership of the International Federation of Aviation (FAI) and a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). The central location of SAC operation located in Thumamah airport inside King Khalid Royal Reserve.

The Founding

The Saudi Aviation Club (SAC) was established by resolution number (217) of the Council of Ministers on the 4th of December, 2000 (8/9/1421 H). H. R. H. Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz is the founder and chairman of the Saudi Aviation Club.

SAC works as an independent, non-profit entity that seeks to promote the culture and science of aviation and practice various aviation activities.

The Saudi Aviation Club affiliation was transferred from the Ministry of Defense to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) by the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (189) on 22nd of April, 2013 (12/6/1434 H).

Vision

The Saudi Aviation Club aims to facilitate and encourage the practice of general and sports aviation activities with the highest levels of quality and safety standards and to effectively contribute to the development of the general and sports aviation sector in the Kingdom by building strategic partnerships with local and international aviation institutions.

Mission

The Saudi Aviation Club seeks to develop general and sports aviation activities and establish quality with the highest operation and safety standards while allowing the public to participate in its various activities.

Objectives

The Saudi Aviation Club aims to provide the opportunity to the public to participate in its various aviation activities through:

Training in the aviation sector and its sciences.
Cultivating talents in the aviation field.
Collaborating with educational and technical institutions
in aviation and its sciences.
Holding seminars and workshops in the aviation field.
Holding various aviation exhibitions, events, and competitions.
Enhancing participation to represent the kingdom of Saudi Arabia
in international aviation championships and competitions.
Creating strategic partnerships with international airlines and clubs.
